Yesterday, our guest speaker was Ms. Jayne. She is a photographer, and she takes pictures in many different sports and also portraits. She started taking pictures in the sixth grade and was into journaling and photography in college. She has been working as a photographer for the Los Angeles Times for 27 years, and now works for the Getty. When she moved to California, she applied to many newspapers and the Los Angeles Times hired her on the spot. She went to the University of Miami, in Florida. I learned her secret method when taking those bucket shots when baseball players gets dumped in the gatorade. When I asked her how she took the gymnastics photos at UCLA, I liked how she still got great photos, specifically of Katelyn Ohashi, even though she didn't know how gymnastic events went. I would definitely pursue photography because you can attend these events while taking great shots that people can see, while getting paid.
